Stress Reduction for Lawyers, Law Students and Legal Professionals

Stephen Snyder

The brief for this cover was to create an overall sense of calm. Due to the long book title and the large amount of text on the cover, we kept things very simple with a central image of a sunrise over water but adjusted the water and used a few different type variations to keep the design looking fresh and welcoming.

The interior layout utilized boxes for the worksheet style elements that are found throughout the book. It’s a quick read that needed to be easy to connect with for Stephen’s busy target audience, so the type is a bit larger and more widely spaced than standard body copy usually is. Readers will read through pages quickly giving them a sense of accomplishment. Key lines are also pulled out as large pull quotes.

Hi! I'm Emily, I run Sweetfolk Studio, a brand and web studio dedicated to lifting up creative businesses through great design.

Sweetfolk Studio celebrates business owners and solopreneurs who care deeply about their craft - from artists to florists, caterers to stylists. You put your time and energy into serving others beautifully. Your brand should do the same for you.

Through thoughtful, strategic design, and a deep respect for building your vision, Sweetfolk Studio shapes visual identities that feel lived-in, a little off-beat, and built to last.

I've been building websites on Squarespace since 2016, and a Circle member since launch (I think!). Happy to help with any questions or roadblocks, whether you're building a website for yourself or a client.
